Mood enhancer: tune up and a glass of coffee

So here's the thing. Last week i had a heated argument and ended up crying (not good, shame on me, i know). I was so angry and that made the tears run down involuntary, i had to spend 30 minutes in toilet afterward. I blame my hormone. My sensitivity is always a bit higher than average person, so harsh word will make some deep impatcs that means i walk on a thin ice almost everytime, and in some days my hormone makes it worse, just like last week.

So how can i survive and keep my insanity intact? (errrr, i don't sound like a mental patient, do i?). Since i don't positively react against stress so i try my best to shake it off. One best mood enhancer that will get rid of all negative energy is to plug in earphones and volume up your favorite song (mine is Linkin Park, i love most of their songs). This will make all your senses focus on the music, you'll forget the anger, the stress, the sadness, or whatever it is. Over the head earphone is no good unless you have the freedom to use anything at work, the best and the safest way is in ear plug. That way i can ignore my surroundings for a while and mending "the damage".

Once you feel better, walk to the pantry and made yourself a glass of coffee. I don't like original coffee taste and the effect is too strong for me, so i prefer something milder, for example like instant chocolate coffee (with the mildest coffee taste) or if you don't like both, you can always brew a glass of tea, make it sweet (diet be damned).

So what about you, what is your mood enhancer?

Beauty tips: a battle against hairfall

I don't try to exaggerate things when i say my hair is my life time problem. But in fact it is, up until this very minute, my hair is still my big problem (well, second to my weight problem *husshh*). I never stop dreaming to have a thick long hair, but growing older it almost impossible to achieve it.

Once i was advised to cut short my hair so it won't falling but guess what, it didn't work! Even when i cut my hair as short as possible, that nasty hair thief is still stealing my valuable strands of hair, hmmff.
My aunt once told me the success story of her friend, she said after using aloe religiously, her friend was able to grow back her almost bald hair. Sounds amazing right? So of course, i stepped on the same way without even thinking.

To live in a country such as Indonesia is a good thing, aloe is almost everywhere. My mom planted it once, just one bunch of aloe in a pot and i didn't think she had time to water it. But in a short time the plant grew in tens of bunch. To use aloe for hairfall is easy, just cut one of it's fleshy leaf, wash them (the yellowish liquid should be rinse out, it's itchy), cut it into half and then rub it on your scalp. You should left it an hour or more (the noticeable result was to leave it a night). Aloe grew my hair, you'll see new hairs show after three or four times using, but unfortunately it didn't stop the hairfalling.

Few articles on egg for hair fall were interesting, so i made my mind to try. I don't really like egg, the smell is gross but if it can stop my hair to fall, i'm ready to try anything (almost).
Last month i tried using egg as hair mask. I used only the yolk. I whisked it and added few drops of grape seed oil then applied it on my clean hair. I let it sat for 20 minutes (longer than 30 minutes will make your hair dry) then rinsed my hair twice. The result? My hair was extra smooth and voluminous. The smoothness lasted for about 2 weeks, but falling hair was still there (boooohoooo).
On my next experiment, i only used the white, whisked it and applied. I got different result, my hair fall was decreasing a great number but the hair felt a bit dry.
On my last try last week, i used one whole egg, whisked and applied. Aaaaand my falling hair was promising ^^. The amount of falling hair was decreasing, the smoothness was still there (hooooraaaay!).
So i guess i'll stick to this gross mask in the future, the articles warn not to use it too often (something that i should remember).

What about you? Do you have other anti hair fall ideas?

PS: i don't own any picture in this post

30 minutes recipe : How to dress up instant noodle

As one of the biggest producer and consumer of instant noodles, Indonesians are familiar with it. It's not only cheap but also tasty. Which in my childhood, it brought me trouble because i used to choose instant noodle than homemade cooking.

In recent years i learned how to make my instant noodle healthier (well, as healthy as instant noodle can be). I have to admit that even i try my hardest to life and eat healthier, once in a while i still eat instant noodle since it's very practical. I started to add vegetables, this seemed a good idea, but sometimes the taste doesn't really....how should i say it, pull together? Anyway it seems like you have to put something else too (ok not you but me). I stumbled on a very nice recipe, here and made just a little bit of adjustment by adding twice boiled instant noodle. It's hassle free and you can prepare everything in just 30 minutes or less.

I used most of the ingredients except for egg, carrot, and mushroom. My version is lighter since i don't add egg to make it thick, but other than that, i follow the original recipe and add plain instant noodle (i discarded the seasoning and use the noodle only). It was tasty!
You can reduce the chicken if you just want to make one portion, i used around 250 grams to make the broth, and change the vegetables to your like.

So what about you? Have you dressed up your instant noodle?

Gifts and presents - how to add a little happiness in each relationship

To have any relationship means to make efforts to maintain them. For me any kind of relationship is just similar, whether it's friendship, loveship, or even familyship (why did i add ship in everything? Let me, you know what i meant). The basic of any relationship is to care, to listen, and sometimes to obey (if you know my mother you know what i meant, love you mom). And showing some cares can be tricky, not that you have to be nice all the time, you have your own bad days, no human can maintain angelic side all the time (by now i think you've guessed which side i am). So this is time when a little bit of effort can be pushed out.
Don't ever forget special occasions, underline this. Surpassing 30 years old, i hate it to have my birthday approached, but it doesn't mean i dislike it when you say happy birthday to me. Odd? Yes, but i'm not the only one. Try your parents, they'll be delighted if you remember their birthday, even when it's 70th birthday. This simple thing is an act of kindness. Next? Don't forget a present. It doesn't have to be something expensive (though no body stop you if you do so). Try to be creative. Send them cookies with cute packages instead of cake.
this one is from my favorite bakery
Or if you have time, make some. Maybe you have a knack with yarn, then make some of these.
Well, yeah i made it

Or something as simple and as sweet as this one
it's etsy's picture
Bottom line is, there are a lot of ways to show that you are care, and i believe by reading to this post you have showed your care for me, so i thank you ^_^
